Located in the coastal town of Bermagui on the NSW South Coast, this renovation reimagines a modest beach house with a light touch and a deep respect for its original character.

The design approach was guided by sensitivity and restraint—celebrating existing details where possible and reworking the layout to embrace the home’s northern orientation. Interior walls were opened to invite sunlight deep into the space and to better connect with the natural surroundings.

Unpretentious and quietly expressive, the interiors reflect the personality of the client, providing a flexible canvas for their evolving collection of vintage furniture, lighting, and art.
